Expanding CHOICE’s Impact: CAAND Engages Stakeholders in Key Agri-Food Events

As part of its ongoing commitment to promoting sustainability in the agri-food sector, Cooperativas Agro-Alimentarias de Andalucía (CAAND) recently participated in two important events, strengthening CHOICE’s outreach among key stakeholders. These engagements provided an opportunity to highlight the project’s objectives, emphasizing the role of sustainable practices in shaping the future of food systems.

February 18, 2025 . Employability Day at the University of Seville

On February 18, CAAND took part in the IV Employability Day with Companies in the Agri-Food and Natural Environment Sector, held at the University of Seville. The event served as a platform to engage with students and professionals interested in career opportunities and innovation within the agricultural sector.

At its dedicated stand, CAAND showcased the CHOICE project, presenting its mission to integrate climate-conscious practices into food systems. The discussions sparked interest among attendees, fostering a deeper understanding of how sustainability initiatives, such as CHOICE, contribute to transforming agricultural production and consumption patterns.

February 19, 2025. Sustainability Reporting Workshop

Continuing its outreach efforts, CAAND participated in a workshop on New Reporting Obligations in Sustainability of the European Union, organized by the University of Huelva and QODS-ESG. The event, held at the headquarters of Somos Fundación MAS, gathered representatives from catering companies, agri-food cooperatives, and sustainability experts to discuss the evolving regulatory landscape in sustainability reporting.

During the session, César Díaz Barroso, Head of R&D&I at CAAND, presented the objectives and ambitions of CHOICE, emphasizing its role in supporting sustainable food systems. The workshop provided an opportunity to position CHOICE within broader industry discussions on sustainability compliance and best practices.

Through these engagements, CAAND continues to strengthen the impact of CHOICE by building awareness, fostering collaborations, and driving momentum for sustainable transformations in the agri-food sector.
